Same here. I have a hard wire running from my bell modem and I get this error. regsvr mentioned dll's doesn't help. Nor is there a firewall bliocking the connection.
It's possible that the security certificates realated to Live needed deletion.

I lost power today so the clock was messed up, but I fixed it and it made MSN work again, thanks!
I copied and pasted an email from an excel spreadsheet to send to a contact. The contact window is now permanantely imprinted with an elongated print of the email. How do I remove this?
if the above method does not help you, you could try looking whether your computer clock has been resetted. if so, just set the time back to current time and it will probably work!
The MTU fixed it. Brill. You are the dog's bollocks! (Eng colloq)
It's a shame that Netgear doesn't publish such critical info that's easy to find.
I've been trying to fix this problem for days... and just now after referring to your solution, I've been able to fix it.. thanks a lot
