Windows Live Messenger error code 80072efd
Problem description:
When you are trying to sign in Windows Live Messenger you are getting an Error Code 80072efd ;"Sorry, we were unable to sign you in to the .NET Messenger Service at this time. Please try again later. 80072efd"
Solution:
Check the .NET Messenger Service Status.
Remove any Internet Explorer proxy server settings
- In Internet Explorer, click Tools and then click Internet Options.
- In the Internet Options dialog box, go to the Connections tab.
- Click LAN Settings…
- Untick the Use a proxy server for your LAN (These settings will not apply to dial-up or VPN connections) checkbox.
- Click OK and OK again Internet Options
Click on the Start menu, select Run and type the following:
regsvr32 Dssenh.dll Gpkcsp.dll Slbcsp.dll Sccbase.dll

uggghhhh I just installed a linksys wireless router... and all my problems began..... Live messenger stopped working 2 days ago... for no reason.... I tried everything posted here, even on the comments.... then I RE-started the router and WALLA!! now it works!!!
BEFORE DOING ANYTHING ... RESTART THE ROUTER
Hey Guys I had the same proble, but I have solved, right click on windows live folder, properties, security, your username (example John), Edit and click full control and it is all set
everytime i sign into msn on my laptop it signs me straight back out again, but it works fine on my pc, it was grand b4 then just stopped working all of a sudden, anyone got any ideas??
