Found this on another site

"Users over diffrent forums across the globe with Windows Live Messenger 8.1 are reporting to experience sign-in problems with error code 81000395.

Most likely as the build is too much buggy, Microsoft is restricting access to managed beta testes only.

Currently the only solution i found is to downgrade to WLM 8.0.0812. "

Hope this helps

Hi...had the same problem for a couple days....finally realized my problem is with my AVG antivirus program, for some reason the Instant Messenger protection for msn is causing the error.....so now I keep MSN protection deactivated. Works fine for me now....hopefully there will be a bug fix from AVG....until then beware of file transfers on Live Messenger.

Peace out.

I don't have AVG (which most of the posts which fix this tells you to adjust). To fix this, I went to: http://www.eggheadcafe.com/forumarchives... and followed steps 7 and 8.

Inaccurate and outdated information, the 2009 release is no longer a "leak" and officialy supported by microsoft. I still get the error.

Okay, I did some looking around for over an hour now, and I read alot.
What I did was, I unchecked the "Remember Me" and retyped in my email and password, clicked on sign in, and it worked.
Hopefully this will work for you guys.
