Never click on these links when someone sends you one. The typical result is a virus infection. In the case of the links above the result is a W32/Antix-A infection

Just another MSN virus.
This is not true. I've used Messenger Live Plus! for some time now and it contains no viruses, is stable and all of it's features. It's by far the best WLM Add On out there (even though it's not the only one I use as well as patches etc..)
yer same here, i've used MSN Plus for about two years aswell as about 30 of my contacts, NEVER has a virus been sent to me, those viruses come from download emoticon,background,animation packs. you can disable links being sent in MSN via the options box, if your that worried....
It actually doesn't have a Virus but it has a lot of adware/spyware which is extremely annoying (Pop-ups all the time)
They don't say MSG Plus (Addon) it's a virus. They say "Msn-9.0plus.exe" it's a virus. I hope you understand this guys.

Yeah i just downloaded and installed it. Just as i installed it but didnt run it my AVG antivirus had an alert saying "trojan". I unistalled it straight away and i am now running 2 virus checks on my pc. I knew it was a virus because its not from the actual msn site. :( Now i got to warn all my friends which have it..

tis is wierd, i downloaded it n nufin happened... but today my frends said it waz a virus, i searched it on da internet n it said is WAS a virus. so i quickly uninstalled it... (but really nufin happened to my pc... yet... but i wont let it happen by uninstallin it! lolz ^_^)
Windows Live Messenger PLUS! (commonly known as MSN PLUS!) is not a virus, and is an MSN addon, it only installs adware if you choose to give your support, so for those people who got popups, go to the uninstaller and remove the sponsor program. For new installations choose "Do Not give my support"

What this article is saying (although it is not clear) is you need to watchout for the fake versions of Messenger PLUS! as these are viruses.

When i opened it after i downloaded it, my virusthingy told me i had a virus. IM SO ANGRYYY!!
It only happens when u press the link from your friend with unreconized url..if u clicked it..u may download the virus..
Messenger Plus does not contain any virus..it's just that the link from ur friend that u get is not really what ur friend typed for u..

It's not technically a virus, but runs numerous scripts that are identified as spyware and malware by many virus scanners. If you install it with F-Secure, your messenger will keep crashing because it's blocking the spyware/ad-ware popups associated with messenger plus. I'd reccommend not to use it because it might not be coded correctly and thus may open holes in your computer's security.

its not a virus its just wen sum 1 gives u a link 1st message thru msn it usually is, if this happens tell your friend to change their password
messenger plus is not a virus i use it some scanners say that their support software is, this is untrue but it has been classified as a virus.
I have had messenger plus for a year or 2, and my friend supported the sponser and got SOOOOO many viruses it wasn't funny, he had 2 rebuild his computer. I was lucky to elarn from his mistakes and i didn't support the sponser, i have been getting none of these links, no popups, nothing!! my computer isn't any slower after i installed it. but my brother and my dad seem to think it is, even though i have done my research...

It's a virus i was downloading it when finished downloaded my kaspersky detected a trojan straight away luckily i could remove the trojan but also uninstalled Messenger Plus, People do not install Messenger Plus and also tell your friends.
Not really virus .. But it messes up yr msn messenger, scripts etc . It spoils your video calling function in msn, and u need to reinstall msn messenger to video call
